Hmmm.. an about page. Well, I’m an Aussie woman who loves to cook. I always have really, but I have really starting getting into it all since I moved out of my parents place and married my wonderful husband (who is also an awesome taste-tester of my recipes! hehe).
I actually don’t get to cook half as much as I’d like, busy with this and that usually, but when I do get to I have fun picking what I’ll make, and have fun making it. I love it when I have a bunch of people over (say my family, in-laws, friends) and have the time to cook for them.
What else… well, I guess I’ve always loved food. I’ve been told that when I was really little, at a curry restaurant, I once asked my parents if I could try some of a hot curry. They gave me some, thinking I wouldn’t like it due to the spiciness (and as I was quite young, I imagine). Apparently I loved it and ate it all up! I was dubbed ‘Curry-queen’ from then on (in my mind anyway!). I’ve always liked trying new foods, and love traveling and sampling as many different foods as I can get my hands on. Well, as many as I can manage without becoming a huge bloated whale-of-a-woman! :-P I look forward to every meal, and love planning my next one. Perhaps a bit too much! :-P
I also have recently discovered I’m gluten intolerant, so the majority of the recipes here will now be gluten free :-)
As for other passions, I’m also passionate about music and teaching. I just finished my Masters in Teaching, and am a casual primary school teacher at present. I’m also a keyboardist and vocalist in a band called The Reticulating Splines. More info on The Reticulating Splines Official Website and our Facebook page.
I figured I should start a recipe blog as I’ve got so many cooking ideas and recipes off the internet. Hopefully by posting some recipes here (my own, adaptations, and other people’s), I can help someone else out in their cooking adventures. Particularly those with gluten intolerance!
Enjoy, and please feel free to comment on stuff! All the best.
