This one was easy and tasty :) And has the hubby seal of approval! Oh, and as is the norm with my dishes, it&#8217;s totally awesome as leftovers the next day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pastabake.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-413\" src=\"\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pastabake-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"pastabake\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patmore.net.au\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pastabake-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/patmore.net.au\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pastabake.jpg 307w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients (Makes approx 5 servings)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1L water<\/li>\n<li>300g pasta (spirals or penne or similar, not spaghetti, gluten free if need be)<\/li>\n<li>500g beef mince<\/li>\n<li>12 button mushrooms, chopped coarsely<\/li>\n<li>2 capsicums (one red and one green is nice for appearances), chopped coarsely<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup dried vegetable stock<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup mixed herbs<\/li>\n<li>1 jar pasta sauce (your choice; I went with Dolmio&#8217;s Garlic)<\/li>\n<li>200g mozzarella<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ol id=\"method\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 200C (fan forced).<\/li>\n<li>In a casserole dish, pour 1\/8 cup of oil to cover the base.<\/li>\n<li>Place mince, mushrooms, capsicum, vegetable stock and mixed herbs in dish and mix together.<\/li>\n<li>Spread remaining oil over the top of the mince mixture and bake for 20 minutes (or until mince is browned).<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, boil water and cook pasta as per packet instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Remove dish from oven. Scoop mince mixture over to one side, and pour in the pasta to cover the bottom of the casserole dish.<\/li>\n<li>Pour pasta sauce evenly into the dish , and spread mozzarella evenly on top.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for another 8 minutes.
